He was a senior international scholar at the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yunnan, China. Transboundary Environmental Security in the Mekong River

The Mekong River is one of the most contested rivers as six countries with unequal political power and differing degrees of social, scientific, and institutional capacity have been implementing projects with inadequate regard for their neighbors’ development plans. Environmental security may offer answers to the transboundary resource dilemmas of these states.
